Here are three tips to ensure a successful winter photo shoot:
- If you take photos while it is snowing, protect your camera by covering it with a plastic bag, leaving an opening for the lens and viewfinder. Rubber bands work well to hold the plastic in place.
- Should you get snow on your lens, be sure to brush it off with a camera brush. Don’t blow on it. This can cause condensation which will freeze on your lens.
- Don’t exhale on your viewfinder. Cover your nose and mouth with your jacket collar or wear a face mask. This will prevent the condensation from your breath from icing over the back of the camera and your viewfinder.
