Color trends are constantly changing and reflect the psychology of the current times. Pantone, the global authority on color, provides the color standards for design industries including fashion, home and all things designed. This Spring’s color trends are designed with a focus on optimism and stability. Designed to soothe our senses in stressful economic times. Spring floral brights; fuschia’s, warm blues and deep yellows are tempered by neutral colors of rose, slate gray and muted lavenders. Blue and yellow-greens fill out the color trend list.

Sometimes the creative juices of a designer or artist are not flowing well. If that’s the case, it’s time to get out and look around for some inspiration. Looking at other artists work both on the web and in galleries is a process that will get your creativity flowing again. Leaf through magazines, look at cool poster designs, logos, even package designs in stores. I find that the artwork doesn’t have to be related to what I’m trying to design, it only has to stimulate an idea which will take me out of my creative holding pattern. Next time you are stuck creatively, try some of these ideas and get yourself back on track!
